BUILDING SELF-ESTEEM is a huge part of healing for a victim of intimate partner violence.
Supercuts President Laurel Slaughter Odelein knew she could help. Through her donation of
Supercuts gift cards to Women’s Center & Shelter clients, many women experienced a renewed
sense of self-worth through something as simple as a haircut and color. For some, it meant being
able to look directly into another person’s eyes for the first time in a long time.
Supercuts has grown its support from in-kind donations to significant financial contributions;
in addition, Supercuts employees will begin volunteering their time at WC&S. There are numerous
ways to engage and give back – Supercuts provides a wonderful example.
“Supercuts is committed to supporting women in crisis. We endeavor to help victims regain their
strength and successfully move forward with their lives. It is critical that we use all necessary
resources to break this vicious cycle for the future generations of our precious, young women.”
