KITCHEN & BATH
176 Rochester Road
Pittsburgh, PA 15229
Leaving her large family home and downsizing to a
neighborhood condo, the client requested that her new smaller,
space-restrictive condo have the same open, free-flowing feel of her
older home. The client wanted a kitchen that would be comfortable
for her to work in alone as well as function and flow for entertaining
and interacting with guests during parties.
Removing the existing peninsula opened up the closed-in kitchen
to the eating area and living room, allowing for a better traffic flow
and an airy and inviting entertaining area while also adding storage.
Combining lighter, earth-toned finishes with reflective satin
mirror gives depth to the space while making the kitchen feel larger.
This, combined with the use of recessed, under-cabinet and pendant
lighting, gives the client the flexibility to set the mood of her kitchen
to the intended use that day.
