Penn Brewery, located where Deutschtown meets Troy Hill, is Pittsburgh’s largest
and oldest brewery. The establishment pays homage to European immigrants
with its restaurant cuisine and 30-year tradition of producing high-end craft beers.
Housed in the former E&O Brewery built in the mid-1800s, the site features polished
wooden benches indoors, a pet patio and a cobblestone biergarten lit for evening
enjoyment. A member of Bike Pittsburgh, Penn Brewery is a biker-friendly destination
and the first of 13 stops on the Allegheny River Libation Trail. It’s open every day for
lunch, dinner and private parties.
